Vinyasa translates to 'linking breath with movement.'

More challenging postures, including inversions, and pranayama will be gently emphasized. Kundalini Yoga

A system of yoga exercises and meditation that promotes health and spiritual awareness. It is a complete science that combines postures (asanas), movement, sound current (mantra), breath (pranayam) and meditation into powerful sets called kriyas. It is designed to provide you with an experience of your highest consciousness by raising your Kundalini.

The word "kundalini" is a metaphor, a poetic way of describing the flow of energy that already exists within each one of us. Kundalini Yoga is more than just a great physical workout. Called the Yoga of Awareness, it is an incredible experience in awakening and raising your consciousness, keeping you feeling young and giving you fullness of heart. You do not have to be an acrobat or gymnast to practice this style of yoga.

In this class everyone will be encouraged to work at their own levels as we explore through chanting, movement, breath work, and meditation. You will find that this class will have a subtle yet profound effect on your life.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga
This class will keep you moving from beginning to end (until Savasana). Expect movement, not just stretching. All levels are welcome to practice to your level of expertise. The word 'Vinyasa' means "breath-synchronized movment". In other words, you will move from one pose to the next as you continue to breathe your exhales and inhales. This technique is sometimes also called Vinyasa Flow, or just Flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. Vinyasa's strength is in its diversity, so there is a lot of room for your individual self to shine through.

Yoga and Strength Training

Learn to move more freely with less tension in your muscles and with a relaxed attitude. In this class, we will use the kettle bells for strength, balance, and agility while integrating these movements with a yoga practice.

The problem that gym rats have (and i've been one of them over the years) is that we go in to the gym, work out, and never stretch our muscles, tissues, and fibers. Oh, we talk about how we should, but we don't. So, as we get older, we get tighter...and talk about how we should stretch. But, still we don't!

With this class, we're going to incorporate light weights, functional movement, and yoga. Your body will feel better. Whether you are into sports, are athletic or think you are, keeping the body functional is a benefit at any age.

Yoga for Men

This is a men's-only class. For men who have thought about taking a yoga class or been prodded to do so by someone else or have heard that it is good for you or think they are too tight or are embarrassed to try it, then check this out.

We will do yoga poses without taxing or embarassing you, we'll stretch, we'll talk about the benefits. We will discuss yoga from a male perspective, work out the knots, kinks and tightness that we all carry in our neck and shoulders and address any other areas of concern that may arise.

$75 for 5 sessions

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a systematic method of complete relaxation addressing your physiological, neurological, and subconscious needs. During the practice of yoga nidra, you appear to be asleep, but your consciousness is functioning at the deeper levels of awareness. It is state of mind between the waking state and the dream state. People have found a constant practice of Yoga Nidra restructures and transforms their whole personality.

The practice of yogic relaxation has been found to effectively reduce tension and give you a sense of improved well-being for those suffering from anxiety. Those who experience headaches, giddiness, chest pains, palpitations, sweating, and abdominal pain respond exceptionally well to yoga nidra. Consistent practice helps to decrease the time required to fall asleep.
